About Otodémie.
Art music performers.
The Fumonkan in Suginami, Tokyo, which has been opened in 1970 and was known as a sacred place for wind orchestra, was to be closed and demolished in November 2018. In the summer of 2018, Emika Hatasaki started calling on SNS, and on November 10, the "Last Fumonkan Orchestra" had a performance on the Fumonkan stage with wind orchestra lovers gathering from all over the Japan. In December of the same year, Emika Hatasaki and Anna Ono reunited and wish to establish a new project. In order to pursue the creation of an ideal music community that is not bound by the existing framework , two person start to re-construct their philosophy, concept, and organizational design of their style.
On January 1, 2019, the organization is established as "Otodémie" with a concept of "Where dreams come true be filled with sounds & happiness" by Emika, Anna, and designed consult, Mina.
Otodémie is an experimental culture that pursues a new world view through the chemical reaction of music and various genres of art, with "Oto (sound)" meaning that it is a group that pursues music with wind orchestra as the starting point. The meaning is "Académie" (academy), which means that it is a group, and "sound (de) fruit", which is a fruit that fulfills the dream of music.
